Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Raku, a traditional method that transforms ceramics through fire and thermal shock, revealing unique and unpredictable effects. This two-session workshop will introduce you to every stage of the process, from modeling to glazing and final firing. Accompanied by Matthieu, you'll shape your own piece and witness its metamorphosis under the effect of flames and smoke.

Workshop schedule (2x3h):

• First session: discover Raku, model your piece using different techniques such as pinched or plate work, then dry and fire for the first time.
• Second session : application of glazes and Raku firing with rapid firing, cooling in a controlled atmosphere and revelation of crackle patterns and smoke effects.
• Observe the unique transformations of each piece and finish to take home your own creation.

The workshop includes both sessions for a complete immersion in this art of fire. A magical moment when earth, air and fire unite to create unique works full of character!
