Activity description :

Kintsugi is the art of repairing Japanese ceramics with a gold joint. Come and learn how to repair and enhance a broken object.

Welcome, introduction to the workshop and choice of beverage (included).
Explanation of the origins of Kintsugi and its philosophy. You'll discuss the meaning of Kintsugi and your own life experiences or those of your broken parts.
Explanation of how the workshop works: the traditional Japanese method can't be used in just 2 hours, so you'll use resin glue and brass powder to give a shiny, golden appearance.
Object repair: a broken piece brought from home or provided by the workshop.
At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with your superb creation, upcycled and sublimated!

The pieces repaired during the workshop are not intended for food use, but for decorative purposes only.
The workshop can provide you with a piece to repair to introduce you to Kintsugi. You can also bring one or more broken pieces to be repaired during the workshop.
All necessary materials are provided: broken ceramics and resin glue.
This workshop can be carried out on any ceramic piece, or even (thick) glass. Please make sure you bring all parts.
