Activity description :

Come and take part in this DIY workshop and learn all there is to know about working with leather! During this workshop, you'll make a leather apron from A to Z. On the program: pattern-making, cutting and riveting!

How it works :

  • First, you'll meet Sarah, a saddler and harness-maker. She'll tell you all about her passion for horses and leather.
  • Once the introductions have been made, you'll have the opportunity to choose your leather and the accessories you'll need to make your apron.
  • Sarah will explain all the steps involved, and accompany you throughout the workshop! The best part? A maximum of 2 participants!
  • You'll have the opportunity to use tools specific to saddlery: sewing pliers, awls and lots more!
  • The aim of this 3-hour workshop is to teach you to master the techniques that will enable you to create a unique apron!
  • Once you've finished your creations, there'll be time for discussion, during which participants will present their creations over a drink: coffee, tea, homemade lemonade or a beverage you've brought along!

This workshop is perfect if you'd like to learn something new, and especially if you'd like an introduction to leatherwork. In a small group, Sarah will be on hand to help you every step of the way.
