Activity description :

- Up to 3 people
- From 16 years old
Join Jérémie for a knife-forging workshop! Work with him to craft a one-of-a-kind knife made of high-quality carbon steel: a rough-forged medieval knife, a throwing knife, or any other knife with a metal handle.
Workshop itinerary (6 hours):
- Introduction to blacksmithing: learn how to position yourself in front of the forge and strike the metal without tiring too quickly.
- Choose the shape of your blade and tang (handle)—twisted or solid with leather braiding.
- Shaping the tip, the cutting edge, and the handle, followed by planing and grinding to refine the blade.
- Heat treatments under Jérémie’s personalized guidance: quenching and tempering.
- Finishing touches: sharpening your blade according to best practices.
You’ll leave with your knife ready to use—the perfect everyday companion thanks to its size—and your head full of memories! A workshop open to everyone, as forging requires precision rather than brute strength.
