Activity description :

During this activity, you will be able to visit the Auvergne from the sky thanks to a superb first flight in a gyroplane. The gyrocopter is a free rotating wing aircraft, propelled by a propeller. Its ability to evolve in the air, its short take-offs and landings will give you a wonderful flying experience.

The Cantal: ideal for discovering microlight flying

Departing from Saint-Flour, you fly over the lakes and the famous volcanoes of the region in a closed cabin. During your first flight, you will have the opportunity to discover the Sailhant castle, Saint-Flour and its upper town, the Garabit dam or Murat.

Course of the flight :

• Welcome at the airfield by the pilot: ground briefing (30 mn) and safety rules to be respected.
• Presentation of the microlight with theoretical advice.
• Boarding of the gyrocopter and final ground briefing.
• Take-off and flight of 20 to 60 minutes, depending on the chosen formula.
• Approach phase and soft landing.

Several routes are available:

• 20 minutes: flight over the Château du Sailhant, Col de la Fageole, Neussargues and the Alagnon valley.
• 35 minutes: flight over Saint-Flour and its upper town, Viaduct of Garabit, Truyère Valley.
• 60 minutes: flight over Saint-Flour and its upper town, Garabit dam, Truyère valley, Le Lioran, Murat.
