Activity description :

Come and create your own mosaic coaster in Nadine and François' workshop. It all starts with the design, then the choice of tesserae, the cutting and the first tests to visualize your final creation. You'll then combine all these pieces of different colors and shapes by fixing them to a support... and finally see your creation take shape!

Workshop schedule (2h) :

  • Simplified drawing of your shape
  • Choice of tesserae from a range of colors
  • Get to grips with mosaic tongs and cut out pieces
  • Placement on support, gluing
  • Grouting: choice of color and application of grout

You'll create your own mosaic on a simple support (circle, hexagon, etc.) the size of a coaster.

Once you've completed this introductory course, you'll understand the principles of mosaics: combining colors and shapes of tesserae, breaking the tesserae themselves... You'll be able to create new works on your own.

It's a moment of creativity and relaxation during which you'll forget everything for 2 hours!
