What to Expect:

• During this 3-hour hike, your English-speaking guide will take you through the magnificent Sierra Blanca mountains, where you can admire the scenery, breathe in the fresh air, and learn fascinating facts about the region’s history, flora, and fauna.
• The route is very varied, with ever-changing scenery and superb panoramic views of the coast and the surrounding mountains.
• One of the highlights of the tour is exploring the ruins of an ancient hermitage nestled in the heart of the mountains—a haven of peace where monks once lived in solitude, surrounded by unspoiled wilderness. The residents of Marbella used to come here to pray or go to confession.
• We’ll also discover unique details you might miss if you were hiking this trail on your own, such as a small historic mine car—a reminder of the time when Marbella had active iron mines.
• Along the way, we’ll traverse a narrow rocky passage equipped with safety chains. Your guide will lead the way so you can enjoy the experience with complete peace of mind.
