It was a very pleasant outing. We went early in the morning, and there was hardly anyone around. The visit lasted two hours. We then went to eat at the restaurant in the château gardens, where we took the €20 menu, which included 4 verrines (savory/sweet or both) + 1 main course, and it was excellent. It's a beautiful château and very well maintained. I'd recommend it.

The château is magnificent, as are the furniture, paintings, chandeliers and tapestries. The gardens are breathtaking. Go in the morning around opening time or 10 a.m., as the afternoon is very busy. The château's restaurant is succulent and reasonably priced.

Magnificent chateau, a must-see, with a very interesting historical tour to boot. Superb gardens and lake. Buying the ticket in advance is even better (°ᴗ˂)
