Treat yourself to an artistic retreat in the heart of nature, in an inspiring and peaceful setting. Whether you’re already a watercolor painter or not, this one-day workshop is an invitation to slow down, observe, and create.

The workshop takes place in the heart of the Vosges Mountains, in the Wormsa Valley. The day will be filled with hiking and observational painting. During the watercolor sessions, you’ll receive personalized guidance in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere , so that everyone can progress at their own pace and according to their skill level. All watercolor sessions last about 1 hour and begin with a brief demonstration by the artist to illustrate the techniques and strokes.

Schedule for the day (7 hours):

• Morning:
  • Meet in the morning at the Metzeral train station
  • Short hike into the mountains
  • First watercolor session* accompanied by coffee, herbal tea, and snacks
  • Walk
  • Second watercolor session
• Lunch break:
  • A casual picnic in the great outdoors, with watercolor painting for those who’d like to
• Afternoon:
  • Walk to another viewpoint
  • 3rd watercolor session
• End of the day:
  • Return to the starting point with, if possible, one last session

The day includes walking with some elevation gain: nothing technical, but you need to be comfortable walking and doing some light climbing for a full day.
