Want to discover art marquetry? Come and visit Corinne's workshop in Albi. You'll spend 1 day learning the basics and making your first unique composition.

What is wood marquetry? It's the art of creating a composition from different types of wood cut according to a design, which is then glued to a support.

Course of the activity (7h) :

• Exercises to discover marquetry techniques and create your own design.
• Choice of wood veneers from over fifty species: walnut, ash, tulipwood, rosewood, sycamore, pear, plane tree, linden, boxwood, Macassar ebony... and stained woods for brighter colors.
• Learn how to use the scroll saw to cut out your shapes.
• Assemble the cut pieces, then glue them in presses, in veneer frames.
• Finish your creations with polyurethane varnish.
• At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with your 4 10x10cm marquetry creations.
