Woodturning workshop in Soumoulou (64)

Activity description :

Come and discover the daily life of Philippe, a woodturner in the Pau region. He'll open the doors of his woodworking workshop for a 3-hour introductory session, or for a full day (7 hours) to teach you how to make a wood-turned piece.

Workshop schedule (from 3h) :

• Discovery of the woodturning trade over a coffee.
• Safety instructions and tool use.
• Equipment preparation and trial run.
• Creation of your first object: depending on the workshop chosen.
• Finishing touches.
• Leave with your wood-turned object!

The different workshops:

• Initiation - 3 hours: at 9 a.m.-1 p.m.-5 p.m., learn basic techniques and make a candlestick.
• Training - 7 hours: start at 9 a.m. (select this time slot), learn basic techniques, make a candlestick, learn hollowing techniques and make a bowl.

This is a great workshop if you want to learn how to make your first everyday objects in wood. Philippe will show you his craft and his passion!
