2-day introduction to ceramic throwing in Paris 8th arrondisseme

Activity description :

Introduce yourself to the potter's wheel in a small 2-hour workshop. Put your hands in the clay and enjoy a quiet moment. You'll discover the joy of feeling the clay and seeing the raw material gradually take shape in your hands.

Workshop schedule (2 days) :

Session 1 - Saturday afternoon (3h30):

• Introduction to potter's wheel throwing, learning basic gestures and practice on one wheel per person.
• Production of a few pieces of your choice
• The clay will then need to rest overnight to allow it to harden.

Session 2 - Sunday afternoon (3h30):

• You will return to your pieces to perfect them: turning, adding accessories, grooving, scrafitage and coloring to your taste with engobes made in the workshop.
• The Ceramists will then take care of your creations: firing, glazing according to your choices, so that the pieces you've created are unique and to your taste!
