First of all, I'd like to stress that the animator was very nice and handled the children's different personalities well. That says it all. What I didn't like was the design of the workshop. About twenty children, a discourse not always adapted to young children and an unsuitable location. For example: oxidation (unnecessarily difficult vocabulary: to say that the apple becomes brown and soft is enough for the age of these children, passage from flower to fruit (children up to a dozen years old at least have no mental representation of what this passage can be. An accelerated video of this passage from flower to fruit could have helped build an adequate mental representation. The poster shown to the children doesn't do this at all. On the other hand, a workshop where so many children go through one by one means a lot of waiting and very little manipulation. Finally, filtering was not necessary, as there were no seeds after pressing. So why artificially add a seed to the strainer? Suffice it to say that sometimes bits of skin and seeds remain, and in such cases, we filter them (pointing to the strainer). On the subject of location, the workshop is a place where the animals come and go. Hence the noise, parents with children and strollers jostling each other... That said, a workshop for 5 - 12 year-olds is a workshop with too broad a target audience. That's why it's important for the children to be very active, which wasn't the case. However, my 7? year-old granddaughter was happy. But she's a very good listener even if she's discreet, and good for me because she's always happy :-D. Yours sincerely Isabelle Guiot

The instructor was very good. But there was a big disappointment: there were too many children, so they didn't get the full benefit of the workshop. The wait was too long for them. They were disappointed not to leave with their apple juice.

A bit disappointed with the workshop, lots of kids, they all had the opportunity to contribute a bit by washing the apples, putting them in the press etc, but they also spent a lot of time waiting on the bench watching the others do it. Parents spent the hour telling their children to be quiet, sit down etc. It's a shame to create such an atmosphere. It's a shame to create an atmosphere of constraint for what should be fun. The workshop could be re-conceptualized by putting the children at the heart of the activity and allowing them to be more active and dynamic throughout.

It's a pity there were so many children - 19 children, even though the website advertises 10 participants! Which was an important selection criterion. The sheer number of participants makes it difficult for younger children to understand the activity. The workshop site is very busy, even noisy. Fortunately, the instructor was a good teacher.
