Daifuku mochi is a sweet glutinous rice-flour pastry with a bean-paste center. It comes in many shapes, colors and flavors. Estelle will reveal the secrets of this little marvel and tell you all about its origins during this workshop, to the delight of young and old alike!

Course of the workshop (2h) :

• Introduction to the origins of Daifuku Mochi, its history and importance in Japanese culture
• Presentation of the different varieties of Daifuku Mochi: shapes, flavors and colors
• Explanation of the basic ingredients: glutinous rice flour, red bean paste (anko), and other possible fillings
• Step-by-step demonstration of the shaping technique
• At the end of the workshop, you can enjoy your creations on site (or take them away).
• Each participant will receive a detailed recipe sheet to use at home!
