During this workshop, the artist-instructor will guide you in discovering all the possibilities of dry pastels and creating a piece of art from start to finish. You’ll explore the essential techniques of this medium: color mixing, blending, shading, textural effects, composition, and much more...

Workshop Schedule (6 hours):

• Part 1: Master the fundamentals of dry pastels. You’ll start by learning the basics of dry pastels through progressive and accessible exercises: handling the materials, layering colors, creating gradients, blending, and building textures. By the end of this first part, you’ll have mastered the main technical tools and completed your first study.
• 1-hour lunch break.
• Part 2: Create your own pastel artwork. You’re ready to create your composition! With personalized guidance from your artist-instructor, you’ll put the techniques you learned in the morning into practice to complete a full artwork.
• At the end of the day, a group session provides an opportunity to discuss and appreciate the work we’ve created together.
