The Route – Hike in Bélouve and at the Trou de Fer

Starting from the Bélouve lodge, you’ll follow well-maintained trails and footbridges through a magnificent cloud forest. This accessible hike will allow you to observe unique flora and, with a little luck, spot the island’s endemic birds before reaching the viewpoint overlooking the Trou de Fer.

You’ll discover:

• A walk through the Bélouve primary forest.
• Lush vegetation typical of Réunion’s highlands.
• The well-maintained trails and their footbridges in the heart of the forest.
• The exceptional panoramic view of the Trou de Fer and its waterfalls (weather permitting).
