Activity description :

Treat yourself to a privileged moment in a sculpture/modeling workshop located in the heart of the 9th arrondissement of Paris. For 3 hours, in a small group, you'll learn all the tricks and techniques of sculpture creation. You'll have the option of continuing your learning with additional classes!

Live model initiation: Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Whatever your level, whether you're a complete beginner or already have some artistic experience behind you, you'll be accompanied(e) by a sculptor who will teach you, based on observation of a live model, study of anatomy and analysis of proportions: reproduce the volumes of the body and/or face (structure, lines, planes, volumes...) and translate the character and specificity of the model while developing your own personal interpretation.

Sculpture/modeling classes: Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Whatever your starting level, you will be guided throughout your apprenticeship by an artist sculptor who will teach you the basic techniques of working with clay, from sketching to finishing (working in the round, low or high relief) and preparing for firing (hollowing techniques). Once your sculpture has been fired, you'll be introduced to the terracotta patina, to give your sculpture the desired final appearance.

You'll learn about volume, mass and planes. You'll learn to observe and restore proportions, symmetry, structure and anatomy. All this from the study of a three-dimensional model.

Workshop schedule (3h) :

Discovery of the workshop.
Learn different techniques and tricks for sculpting and modeling.
Choose between different types of sculpture: mixed materials, papier-mâché or live models.
Create your own sculpture under the guidance of our partner.

Classes are open to all levels! Whether you're looking for a one-off workshop or a trial run before taking up regular classes, you'll love sharing a convivial moment on the theme of sculpture in a charming location in the heart of the capital.
