Through the creation of an object that is both useful and aesthetically pleasing, you'll discover the traditional gestures of wood carving and the codes of contemporary creation. Workshop schedule (2h) :

Welcome and introduction to the workshop, freehand carving tools and wood species.
Choose your project: a fruit bowl or a pocket divider, according to your desires for use or shape.
Introduction to basic techniques: roughing the wood, working with a chisel, gouge or mallet, and shaping the object.
Refinement, contour finishing and sanding of your piece to reveal the natural lines of the wood and give it all its character.

You'll leave with a unique piece, sculpted by your own hands, combining design and authenticity, an object that will naturally find its place in your home.

Alexandre, a big thank you to you for this wood workshop!!! I saw a lot of wood carving without really seeing how the professional did it and especially with what tools... Since this Thursday I have new words like Trusquin in my dictionary... Thank you for your attentiveness, your clear explanations and for all levels... Two hours out of time, in a warm and friendly setting. Alexandre takes pleasure in passing on his knowledge and guides us step by step with patience.
