Join Yann for a day-long introductory workshop on blacksmithing and knife-making! In the heart of his workshop, discover traditional metalworking and woodworking techniques as you design your own knife. From creating the design to the finishing touches, you’ll be guided through every step to bring a one-of-a-kind piece to life, customized to your liking.

Workshop itinerary:

• Designing your knife: sketch your model and choose the type of wood for your handle.
• Forging the blade: Discover the blacksmith’s techniques as you shape and form your blade.
• Hardening and sharpening: Learn how to treat the blade to give it its properties and sharp edge.
• Handle construction: Cut the wood with a scroll saw, then adjust it so it fits your blade perfectly.
• Assembly and Finishing: Join the blade and handle before sanding, polishing, and performing the final sharpening.

You’ll leave with a knife you’ve made with your own hands—a one-of-a-kind creation that reflects your choices and the skills you’ve acquired throughout the day. An immersive workshop to discover blacksmithing, work with different materials, and learn the art of artisanal knife-making!
