Workshop itinerary:

  • Preparing the clay and learning the basics of wheel-throwing.
  • Learning how to center, open the wheel, build up the piece, and shape it.
  • Work on posture, breathing, and focus to support your movements.
  • Practice and repetition to progress at your own pace.
  • Personalized guidance tailored to each participant’s skill level and goals.

A workshop where you can take the time to learn, experiment, and improve on the potter’s wheel. Whether you’re a beginner or already have some experience, you’ll receive personalized guidance in a deliberately small group to develop your technique and confidence.

What to Bring

  • Wear comfortable clothing and keep your nails short. Long nails are strongly discouraged: at the potter’s wheel, they can interfere with your movements and your work with the clay.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the workshop begins so you have time to get settled.
