Raku ceramic workshop in Peymeinade (06)

Christine is delighted to welcome you to her workshop for an introductory course in the raku technique in Peymeinade (06). This workshop will take place in two parts: a session for making the pieces and a session for firing.

Workshop schedule (3h for the manufacturing session):

• You will have the opportunity to make two pieces
• You'll start with a brief theoretical explanation to help you understand the specifics of raku and the Japanese firing technique.
• You'll begin shaping two simple pieces and discover two methods:
  • the plate
  • stamping
• During a second session (4h) agreed in advance with Christine, you will :
  • enameling the pieces
  • firing
• This last session will be followed by a snack shared by all participants.

The aim of these workshops is to learn an age-old craft technique and take home your own personalized creations.
