Beeswax candle-making workshop at Bois-Anzeray

Activity description :

Alongside Laurent, a passionate beekeeper, you'll make beeswax candles during this 2-hour workshop in Normandy. You'll go through the various stages of production, and leave with your own natural, scented candles.

Course of the activity (2h):

• First, you'll meet Laurent, who will welcome you to his educational apiary.
• You'll make a mixture of beeswax and soy wax, and add an essential oil (lemongrass, lavender...) to naturally scent your candles.
• Melt it all together, and once the wick has been added, pour the mixture into silicone molds (Buddha, leaves...).
• Once solidified, unmold your candles and take them home.

A creative activity to give or share, that will immerse you in the world of bees.
