Welcome to Florent’s Workshop, a coffee roaster in Concarneau, where Florent is happy to welcome you with a smile and share his passion for specialty coffee. In this workshop, come learn the basics of coffee, from bean to cup. Green coffee, roasting, and tasting will hold no more secrets for you.
Workshop itinerary (2.5 hours):
- Explore the journey of coffee, from tree to cup: the origin of the beans, the different stages of their processing, and how each choice influences the aromas and flavors.
- As the highlight of the workshop, watch a live roasting session and observe the transformation of green coffee beans. Florent will reveal the principles behind this precision craft and show you how the roast profile brings out the full aromatic richness of the coffee.
- Next comes the tasting. Through an introduction to cupping, you’ll learn to identify the flavors, aromas, and distinctive characteristics of various specialty coffees.
To continue this journey at home, you’ll leave with a 250-gram bag of your favorite coffee.
