Come and discover the spirit of the forest and learn woodcarving!
In this workshop, you'll learn how to carve an old man's face from a tree branch, using appropriate tools. You'll explore essential techniques such as tool handling, wood sense and the discovery of different wood species, all in a warm and friendly atmosphere!

Workshop schedule (4h):

• The workshop begins with an introduction to the different tools and safety instructions.
• Jean-Camille will then explain how to use the gouge and knife, as well as how to respect the grain and direction of the wood.
• You'll then get down to the nitty-gritty: you'll choose your piece of wood, draw the shape of the face according to several models, and finally sculpt the face.

This concise, structured workshop is ideal for learning the basics of woodcarving! You'll leave with a unique creation, as well as the fundamentals you need to continue this practice at home!
