Come and discover the art of woodcarving! In this workshop, you'll learn how to create a trivet or a small painting in engraving or bas-relief, using the right tools. You'll also learn how to handle the tools, the meaning of wood, and the different types of wood, all in a warm and friendly atmosphere!

Workshop schedule (7h):

• The workshop begins with an introduction to the different tools and safety instructions.
• Jean-Camille will then explain how to use the gouge and knife, as well as how to respect the grain and direction of the wood.
• Then it's off to the practical part: you choose the model that inspires you, and the support for your sculpture.
• You'll start by reproducing your model in a drawing, before moving on to the actual carving, accompanied by Jean-Camille's personalized advice.

This concise, structured workshop is ideal for learning the basics of woodcarving! You'll leave with a unique creation, as well as the fundamentals you need to continue this practice at home!
