Discover the unique aspects of wheel-thrown porcelain during a 3-hour introductory workshop in a small group. The goal is to learn the essential techniques while experiencing the unique sensations of working with porcelain.

Workshop Schedule (3 hours):

• Welcome and workshop introduction over coffee or tea
• You’ll learn the basics of wheel-throwing and experiment with this fine, challenging clay: centering, building up the clay, opening the wheel, and shaping the piece.
• At the end of the introductory session, you’ll keep two pieces, which will be fired and glazed with a clear glaze.
• Review and group discussion at the end of the session.
• The finished pieces will be available within six weeks and will be stored at the studio for three months.

An introductory workshop designed to give you time to get comfortable with the material and create your first porcelain pieces.

The session is suitable for both beginners and those with some prior experience in wheel-throwing.
