Introductory ceramic modeling workshop in Marseille 5th district

Plunge your hands into the clay and discover the pleasure of creating your own matcha bowl, a unique piece shaped by you from start to finish.

For 2 hours, you'll be guided by a ceramics specialist dedicated to the world of tea. You'll explore the different shapes of bowls (chawan), their uses and aesthetics, before moving on to practical work.

Workshop schedule (2h) :

• Hand-modeling using the pinched technique, learning the essential gestures, then it's time to get creative with imprint decorations and sgraffito (engraving in clay). You'll also learn how to add small elements such as a bowl foot or handle.
• Tea is offered during the workshop for a complete immersion in the world of matcha.
• At the end of the session, your piece will be stored for drying, firing and glazing, before being returned to you a few weeks later.

A workshop to enjoy alone or as a duo, to share a creative moment in a pleasant, light-filled setting.
