Activity description :

Accompanied progression in freefall(PAC) is a course of 6 jumps followed by an instructor who will give you the autonomy to make your 7th solo jump. This training, which takes place over several days, is supervised by Nicolas and his team of professional parachutists at La Teste-de-Buch airfield.

The theoretical part is generally done on the first day, followed by the practical part with 6 jumps supervised by instructors and then the 7th solo jump to validate your training.

The Arcachon basin, a dream spot for a first skydiving experience

Just 30 minutes from Bordeaux, from La Teste-de-Buch, you can jump over the Dune du Pilat and onto the beaches of Arcachon. It's impossible not to be moved! You'll fly over the Dune du Pilat, the Banc d'Arguin, Ile aux Oiseaux, the ocean, the large lakes and Cap-Ferret. You'll also enjoy a splendid view of the ocean coast, from the Pyrenees to the Gironde estuary. Skydiving by the sea is an experience you won't soon forget.

Course of the PAC course over Arcachon :

  • Meet early in the morning at the Villemarie aerodrome for your training.
  • A large part of the day will be devoted to theory lessons on the presentation of the equipment, free-fall and landing techniques and safety instructions.
  • At the end of the afternoon, it's time for practice! You'll be kitted out with all the necessary equipment: wetsuit, helmet, goggles, altimeter and parachute, and you'll board the Pilatus aircraft for a 15-minute flight during which you'll have the chance to observe this incredible basin from the air.
  • Once you've reached an altitude of 4,000 metres, the door will open and you'll launch into the air for the big jump. Then it's off for a 1-minute freefall at over 200 km/h! You will be supervised by 2 instructors who will ensure your safety and communicate with you by signalling to improve your position and ease of flight.
  • At the halfway point, at an altitude of around 1500 metres, you'll trigger your parachute and enjoy a canopy ride lasting around 7 minutes. You will return to the ground assisted by radio guidance.
  • Debriefing of your jump. Your jumps will be filmed and the footage will be used between jumps to debrief you. Above all, they will be used as a teaching tool to help you progress.
  • Over the following days, depending on the weather, you'll make 2 to 3 jumps a day, and you'll also learn how to pack your parachute.
  • If you have achieved all the objectives of the course, you will be able to complete it on the 7th jump, which you will do completely on your own without the help of the instructors.

This week of PAC training will be full of learning and thrills! Once you've got your logbook, you'll be able to jump from any airfield in France.
