Located beneath Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral, the Crypte archéologique de l'Ile de la Cité is the largest archaeological crypt in Europe. Offering a unique insight into the urban and architectural evolution of the Ile de la Cité, discover the foundations and remains of buildings constructed from Gallo-Roman times to the 18th century.

Tour advantages :

• On an itinerary just under 200 meters long, you'll cross over fromGallo-Roman antiquity and the Middle Ages to the 19th century, thanks to numerous exceptional archaeological remains.
• Discover the basement of the Hôtel-Dieu chapel, the medieval remains of the 7-meter-wide Rue Neuve-Notre-Dame, which was opened in the 12th centurycentury to transport materials to the cathedral construction site, or the foundations of the Hospice des Enfants-Trouvés, all the way to the Haussmann sewers.
• Visit accompanied by slide shows, models and guided tours for adults and children.

• Tuesday to Sunday: 10am-6pm
• Exceptionally closed on January 1, May 1 and December 25
• Early closing at 5pm on December 24 and 31
