Marion welcomes you to her studio to introduce youto the art of leatherworking through a 100% DIY workshop, during which you’ll craft an elegant leather shoulder bag (dimensions: H 15 cm x W 22 cm x D 8 cm). Featuring an interchangeable handle and shoulder strap, this practical and timeless piece complements any style and will become your everyday companion.

There’s plenty of room for personalization so you can create a one-of-a-kind shoulder bag that reflects your style!

Workshop itinerary (4–5 hours):

• Introduction to the workspace and discussion about artisanal leather goods, the types of leather used, and your preferences.
• You’ll customize your shoulder bag by choosing the leather for the handle, shoulder strap, and tabs, as well as the thread color, from a selection of premium vegetable-tanned full-grain cowhide leathers.
• You’ll then review the pattern for the bag, which will serve as your guide throughout the crafting process.
• You’ll continue by cutting the leather by hand using traditional tools such as leather cutters, then complete the various preparation and marking steps before assembly.
• You’ll learn the essential techniques of leatherworking: marking, punching, attaching hardware, assembly, and meticulous finishing touches.
• Each participant will leave with their own fully customized, handmade shoulder bag.
• A short gourmet break will be offered during the workshop.
