Kintsugi is a Japanese restoration art that transforms broken pieces into real jewels to bring your ceramic piece back to life. Dive into the fascinating world of kintsugi with Océane! She offers a workshop over two consecutive sessions (Saturday & Sunday) to help you discover this technique and embellish your ceramics.
Workshop schedule (2 days) :
Day 1:
- Gluing ceramic shards with a mixture of traditional urushi lacquer and starch glue.
- Learn the technique of filling chips and gaps using tonoko.
Day 2:
- Choice of metal powder: mica to imitate gold, silver or copper.
- Final finishing touches with Océane.
- You'll leave the workshop with your own unique piece!
Give your objects a second life and leave with a meditative experience and a new perspective on upcycling ceramics!
