Want to learn how to cook your own onigiri ? Immerse yourself in the heart of Paris, the perfect place to make them. Put on your apron and follow the advice of our expert Samuel, who will accompany you every step of the way.

What are onigiris? It's a Japanese snack, shaped like a triangle, consisting of a filled rice ball. It's a very popular snack in Japan!

Course of the workshop (1h30):

  • On arrival, you'll be offered an organic Japanese hojicha tea. Samuel will introduce you to onigiris, their origins and everything you need to know about this Japanese delicacy.
  • Onigiri-making workshop: rice preparation and cooking, forming rice balls with a firm, generous hand, filling your creations with meat, vegetables or fish.
  • Finally, you'll apply the nori seaweed sheet found on sushi maki and on your onigiri creations in a variety of ways.

You can take your onigiri home with you, or enjoy them on the spot. The workshop is also located within an onigiri boutique.

You can also learn the traditional Japanese technique of folding cloth (furoshiki). Just remember to bring along a thin square of fabric measuring around 50x50!

A good time with simple, clear explanations to amaze the whole family. A simple but technical gesture. Thanks Samuel. The onigiri made on the spot were delicious.
