Shirodhara is one of the most powerful treatments in Ayurveda, Shiro meaning "head" and "dhara" meaning continuous flow. It consists in continuously dripping a stream of warm oil onto the forehead (or 3rd eye). The 1h30 treatment is preceded by a massage to prepare the body.
Benefits :
- Calms the nervous system
- Reduces stress
- Improves quality of sleep
- Prevents hair loss and bleaching
This massage is recommended for people with a Vata nature (profile: slender, slender body, asymmetrical face). In addition, your skin is thin and tends to be dry, rough and cold. As for your mind, it has trouble settling down. This makes you quite a creative person, with a talent for the arts in all their forms).
Shirodhara is a remarkable Ayurvedic tool for deeply soothing, nourishing and replenishing the central nervous system.
