A big THANK YOU to Corinne and Stéphane for the welcome, the atmosphere, the meal, the snack... In principle, a day may seem a long time, but once you're there, it goes by quickly, too quickly. The production process, step by step, is amazing. Stéphane guides us and explains things very well. His skill, pedagogy and kindness are all there for the taking. The concept is just brilliant, and the results are stunning. Whether you're a novice or not, Stéphane manages it all masterfully, not forgetting the interludes of the meal and Corinne's sweets. Absolutely divine. I highly recommend it. Renaud

A gift for Christmas for our father, who is very keen on DIY and loves watching the blacksmiths' show. He came back delighted with the day. He was received with great sympathy and simplicity. His knife is magnificent and he can be proud of having made it from A to Z. A great experience for him. Thank you

Rather than give my opinion (good, bad, I liked it, I didn't like it...), I'll give you a brief account of my day. As a fan of the TV show "le meilleur forgeron" (the best blacksmith), my daughters offered me a day for my 68th birthday (January 27, 2025) at the home of Stéphane and Corinne, who organize sessions enabling DIY enthusiasts and neophytes to make a knife from A to Z in a single day (starting with a raw stainless steel flat iron and two wooden plates). At 9:00 a.m., the couple gave us a warm welcome, and after introductions, we set off for the morning in the craftsman's "authentic" workshop. After a few technical clarifications, each trainee (3) chooses a blade and handle shape from the thirty or so on display, and off we go.... Tracing, cutting, grinding, honing, sharpening, sharpening, heating the blade in the forge, soaking it in an oil bath to harden it. All phases are carried out in good spirits under Stéphane's expert guidance. His professional background as a teacher in the metallurgy sector enables him to assist us with kindness, to advise us, and in the event of difficulty he will take the hand to enable us to pass the obstacle without difficulty. At 1:00 pm, it's time for lunch, and it's Corinne, his wife, who takes over, welcoming us to the veranda of the family home. Coffee time is also the time to choose the type of wood we want for our knife. We're back in the workshop until 4:00 p.m., tracing, sanding, adjusting, drilling, gluing, screwing. It's already 4:00 p.m., Corinne comes into the workshop, and it's time for a snack: coffee and homemade cookies from the hostess, who is also a cookie specialist.... After this little moment of relaxation, we're back in the workshop until 7:00 p.m. for the finishing touches on the handle and blade. That's how my day went with Stéphane, a true cutlery craftsman" and not an assembler of ready-made blades. Stéphane's skill, pedagogy and kindness are top-notch, but if you're looking for a sweet treat, you'll have to go to Corinne and her Cookies. I think I can recommend him :), thank you for a great day. Didier

I had a great day, really. Stéphane guided us and explained things really well. You can tell he's got the subject totally under control. Explanations were quite technical, but he knew how to put himself at my level as a neophyte. If I had the slightest doubt, he was there to help and reassure me. There were 3 of us that day. It was a really good atmosphere, and everyone was able to make their own knife and personalize it to their tastes. The knives were all different, but everyone left proud and happy with their work. A big THANK YOU to both of you for the welcome, the atmosphere, the meal and the snack.... On paper, a day may seem like a long time, but when you're actually there, it goes by very quickly. Even though it was over an hour's drive from my home, I have absolutely no regrets.
