Workshop itinerary:

• Introduction to the principles of beer tasting and learning sensory analysis through sight, smell, and taste.
• Guided tasting of 5 to 6 craft and local beers, with identification of aromas, flavors, textures, and balance.
• Explore the major beer styles as well as the four fundamental ingredients—water, malt, hops, and yeast—through samples and fun activities.
• Explanation of the brewing process and how the brewer’s choices influence the beer’s aromas and characteristics.
• A journey through the history of beer and brewing culture, from Sumerian origins to the rise of craft beer in France, including major European traditions.
