Come and learn how to make a knife from A to Z, thanks to the expert advice of Clémentine, cutlery craftswoman. During this introductory workshop in metalworking, you'll have the opportunity to handle the tools needed to create a straight knife.

How it works :

• During this introductory workshop, Clémentine will show you the different stages involved in making a knife, as well as the machines and tools used in the workshop. You'll then set about making a straight knife.
• You'll start by choosing the wood for the handle from a range of French species, sourced from a sustainable, family-run business. Next, you'll start shaping the handle, mainly with a belt grinder.
• Next, you'll use the drill press, hammer and anvil to assemble the wooden inserts to the steel part.
• Next, you'll hand-sand for a flawless finish, followed by a soak in a mixture of linseed oil and orange peel oil to ensure your knife's durability.
• Finally, Clémentine will sharpen your knife to ensure optimum performance, and give you a few maintenance tips.
