Wooden coffee table workshop in Paris 3rd arrondissement

Philippe & his team welcome you to their woodworking workshop. You'll learn how to handle wood from raw material to finished product. The workshop takes place over 2 days: a first session of one hour and a second of four hours, you'll have the opportunity to make an original tripod coffee table with a US Oak or Walnut end veneer. This activity will give everyone the opportunity to add their own personal touch and create a unique object.

Workshop schedule (2 days) :

First session (1 hour):

• Creation of the veneered top in American Walnut or Oak end grain wood.

Second session (4 hours):

• Assembly of veneer sheets for the underside
• Pressing the tray after gluing
• Cleaning, trimming and scraping
• Edge banding, choice of ash, olive or ziricote. Gluing and trimming
• Laying of putty and gold paint
• Sanding and water-soluble matte, satin or gloss varnish
• Installation of three black metal pin legs
