Isabelle offers you a friendly, sensory workshop to explore the many facets of rum. From Brazil to Jamaica, via Haiti and Guatemala, discover the subtleties of production, the origins and the differences between rum, ron and cachaça!

Course of the workshop (2h):

• Introduction to rum families : rhum agricole, rhum industriel, rhum ambré, rhum vieilli, ron...
• Presentation of the main rum-producing regions and their specific characteristics.
• Guided tasting of 5 rums:
  • 1 cachaça from Brazil
  • 1 clairin from Haiti
  • 1 amber rum from an independent bottler
  • 1 ron from Guatemala
  • 1 aged rum from Jamaica
• Gourmet pairings: cheese, charcuterie, vegetable verrines, sweet and savoury delicacies
