Woodworking is beautiful, it's noble, it makes you dream... but it's also scary! Don't panic, Quentin is here to teach you the right carpentry moves. Here's a general course to get you started and make you feel at home.
Course of the workshop (2h30) :
- On arrival, the trainer will give you a few tips on safe woodworking.
- You'll then learn how to handle and use wood-cutting tools: jigsaw, circular (or plunge) saw and radial saw.
- You'll then learn about the main joinery techniques.
- After completing this carpentry course, you should feel able to use wood-cutting tools and know what they're for. The aim is to be autonomous and able to implement your own ideas.
This activity is ideal for all DIY enthusiasts. It's an ideal gift for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, birthdays, etc.

Instructive workshop, particularly in the first hour's presentation of woodworking tools. The object was fairly easy to make, so it's ideal for someone new to the trade. A second workshop (in the form of "episode 2") can be taken afterwards.

It would be a good idea to provide a small paper/pdf handout or e-mail at the end of the training session to cover the pedagogical aspects: description, function and name of the tools used....

Thierry's review
Pleasant workshop, beautiful location and friendly, competent and passionate instructor. The only downside was the techniques taught, as I'd expected from the description to learn more about assemblies, but that wasn't the case. The workshop was more focused on using machines and working safely. A pleasant moment nonetheless, I don't regret it :)

Quentin, a nice trainer, precise in his explanations and terms, led us through a very interesting session. Well-equipped and large enough for 6 students, but 2 hours is a bit short for everyone to finish their project. The metal workshop is also very appealing. A small observation: reconfirmation a few days before by Funbooker and Les Inventeurs would have made the start of the course more reliable...

Very pleasant atmosphere, but the workshop could be better structured / organized to support beginners. Teacher listens and is available to help.

We learned a lot of things in ~2h30 and the little beer carrier we managed to do turned out really cute. 10/10!
