Whisky creation workshop from A to Z in Sainte-Croix-du-Mont

Activity description :

Take part in an original activity and learn how to create a Single Malt Whisky in its entirety. During the day, you'll go from the malt to the dilution of the alcohol you've distilled. A unique experience to be enjoyed or offered in a workshop located in century-old cellars not far from Bordeaux.

Workshop schedule (8h) :

• Morning: welcome of participants and presentation of the distillery and workshop. Introduction to the whisky-making process
• Malt mash brewing
• Fermentation for alcoholic wash
• Lunch break (1h)
• Afternoon: distillation in your own still using the "repasse" method
• You'll leave with a 20cl bottle of unaged whisky(the whisky will only take on this appellation after 3 years' aging in oak casks).
• Charles will also give you advice on cooperage and introduce you to the organic spirits produced on site. Tastings and the chance to buy distillery products at a 5% discount.

Participants will have the opportunity to age their product for 3 years in oak casks to obtain the official "whisky" appellation. Information will be provided on the aging process and the next steps.

Sharing and transmission will be on the agenda of this great day of creating your own whisky.
